Hillary Heywood is an artist, innkeeper & designer living in Ocean City, NJ.
After completely (mostly) restoring a historic OCNJ Inn along with her husband, she is currently available for new freelance projects in the fall, winter & spring.
Summers are for inn-keeping, design planning and chatting with guests on her front porch.
Hillary’s designs are not just surface level. After college, she honed her design skills in NYC boutique design firms, setting herself apart as a designer with an extensive understanding of architecture. Whether it’s painting a bespoke art piece, designing a custom kitchen, or hand cutting and laying tile herself, her well rounded skill set reflects itself in everything that she designs.

A design is crafted by working collaboratively with each client to create a home that elevates the spirit and aesthetic of the homeowner. Complimentary inital site visit & consulation makes the process approachable. Stressfree interior design is possible by pairing the Design Package that best fits.
Quick Concepts
Simply need a starting point? The Quick Concepts is a two hour time block that provides creative options and concepts for the client. This can be either In-Home or E-design and is entirely flexible. Whether it’s staging for a sale, color consult, art hanging, furniture placement or determining a general mood, the Concepts will be laid for the client to build upon on their own time. Either purchased as a stand alone service or used as a spring board for a more extensive project, this will set the creative tone for your projects to follow.
DIY Concepts + DESIGN
The Basic DIY Concepts +Design Package provides a conceptual design for the client to use as a "recipe" to pull together a beautiful and cohesive space on their own time and at their own pace. This provides the client with the core foundational elements necessary to create that dream look they are after. Furniture layout, suggested materials and mood board are provided to help carry the inital concept into a stylish and pesonalized design.
LUXURY DIY DESIGN PACKAGE
The Luxury DIY Design Package will provide the client with every detail needed to achieve a level of magazine-worthy design. This package offers direct sourcing trips with clients, selecting styling element and finding truly unique pieces. The difference between this and FULL SERVICE is the client still has both the time and the intention of executing the furniture purchasing, installation, project management and styling on their own time.
FULL SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN
Full Service Interior Design will take the space from Bare Bones to Beautiful. All aspects of your project are planned and managed from start to finish. For the client that does not want any of the stress of organizing deliveries, ordering product or managing the work flow, this is the package that offers the ideal fit.
Custom Kitchen
Similarly to Full Service Design, all aspects of your project is planned and managed from start to finish. The kitchen is designed from concept to completion. With extensive experience in the custom kitchen and bath sector, Hillary can expertly meld your taste, budget and space to create your perfect kitchen.
